Swiss Machining

Swiss machining, also known as Swiss turning or CNC Swiss-type Automatic Lathe, is a specialized CNC technique designed for precision turning and milling. It excels at producing complex and small parts and components, with an excellent surface finish. The process involves using a sliding headstock lathe and a guide bushing that provides support close to the cutting tool, effectively minimizing vibration and enhancing accuracy during machining. Swiss machining is particularly suitable for long, slender components and features tight tolerances. Notably, our star swiss machines boasts 12-foot-long bar feeder's capable of accommodating a maximum diameter of 32mm. This unique feature allows for efficient production, enabling simultaneous machining of multiple features. Swiss lathes find widespread applications in industries such as agriculture, construction, and aerospace.
